Role: Software Developers

Avvio are recruiting talented software developers to join our Dublin software team.

You will be involved in developing all aspects of Avvio’s software solutions. Some of these projects include the development of our very successful advertising platform for hotels, the continued development of our main online booking engine, API development for integration with other web-services and much more.

We are recruiting experienced, self motivated developers with expertise in PHP, Linux and all aspects of modern web development. Projects will include public facing PHP web applications and interfaces between Avvio systems and hotel systems using SOAP and other web service technologies.

Experience setting up and maintaining Debian Linux, Apache, Mysql, PHP and Xen will be an advantage as this role will also expose you to the support of our online server infrastructure. We require quick-thinking, focused, problem-solving skills, to ensure any issues with production systems are quickly resolved. Performing on-call support as part of a team.

Key skills:

2-5 years experience with PHP
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline
STRONG web-based programming skills
SQL, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, DOM, AJAX
Designing and implementing object oriented solutions
Administration of Linux, Apache, Mysql and PHP an advantage
SOAP, Javascript, Linux shell programming, Xen
Strong ability to multi-task and work independently
Enthusiasm for a dynamic start-up like, team environment
