Avvio advice in high demand

Having been around my fair share of events over the past two years since joining Avvio, I was thrilled to be invited to join the advisory board for the largest hospitality show in North America, HX: The Hotel Experience, which returns this November.

I’ll be joining industry innovators, thought leaders and experts from across hospitality for the board to help shape and guide the strategy of the show in the future. We met for the inaugural meeting in New York last month where we began to evolve and develop a comprehensive voice and overall brand image around the hospitality experience. I’m very keen that we influence the content to ensure there’s a great line-up of speakers and presentations for attendees, and of course, that travel technology is a strong feature for the show.

Tedd Swormstedt, CEO of HMG (the owners of the show told us, “We all share the same passion and mission of transforming the hospitality industry. The advisory board will play a critical role in helping us identify areas of innovation, technology, education, industry trends and research. The HX brand will be focused on advancing the professional network and helping our community grow its business by improving the overall hospitality guest experience in unique and differentiated ways.”

Joining me on the advisory board are members from organizations such as MGM Resorts, New York State Hospitality & Tourism Association, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, Associated Luxury Hotels International, US Travel Association, Asian American Hotel Owners Association and NYC Hospitality Alliance.

It’s a privilege to support such an established and well-received show, and I’m not the only Avvio representative supporting such great industry events. Our Head of Marketing, Chris Rose sits on the advisory group for Travel Technology Europe, and Avvio’s CEO Frank Reeves does the same for many shows including the Annual Hotel Conference.
