Already operating across globally, we’re thrilled to deepen our American roots alongside our Miami and Las Vegas offices with a presence in Atlanta.
Despite the challenges and implications for the hospitality industry from the pandemic. Our advanced technology and digital-first mindset have helped thousands of hotels interact with guests in new ways. Our services have been accommodating hoteliers to mould with guest decision-making changes and to future-proofing their online booking operations, ultimately driving growth in direct bookings and reducing the dependency on online travel agencies.
Following this success, we’ve expanding our US offering to continue to drive more guest-centric decisions for hoteliers.
Working alongside our US Vice President John Owens, will be Avvio’s VP of Digital and Partnerships, Ian Sloan. Sloan will be stepping into a new role within Partnerships, working to deliver even more value to our customers.
Sloan joined the company in December 2017 as Vice President of Customer Success and has championed the idea of Customer Success across the business and our operations. Sloan is an accomplished commercial leader with over 20 years of experience within the travel and technology space.
Over Sloan’s career here, he has led the Digital Marketing and Web Delivery teams, two key service teams for Avvio that compliment our allora.ai platform and help to drive intent potential guests to our customer sites.
Sloan’s accomplishments include the launch of Avvio’s Hotel Digital Academy, a scheme put in place during the pandemic to support and upskill furloughed hospitality workers. In his new role, Sloan will be bolstering our senior leadership team in the US market and developing recruitment efforts across the business.
Alongside Sloan we’re delighted to have Hans Stahl and Cassie Forbes joining the sales team. Stahl is originally from New England but moved to Florida 15 years ago, where he’ll be looking after customers in the region. Forbes started her career in the hospitality industry, moving through positions in food & beverage, operations, sales and marketing and will be focused on Texas, Louisiana and the Central US.
With growth and innovation at the forefront of Avvio’s priorities, these new hires will support the company’s already heavy investment in our employees and global reach, with an ongoing focus on professional development, technology, marketing and support and increase our presence across the United States.
