How the Crover House Hotel rocketed their direct booking revenue with Avvio

Crover House Hotel is an independent country house hotel located in the stunning Irish countryside of County Cavan. The 18th century Georgian manor-house hotel boasts 41 acres of landscaped grounds and a historic lake that guests can admire from the comfort of their hotel room.
Given the fairy tale setting, it comes as no surprise that Crover House Hotel specialises as a wedding destination, as well as offering luxurious golfing and spa breaks. It does come as a surprise, however, that until 2016, this idyllic hotel wasn’t getting the publicity and brand awareness it deserved. In an effort to maximise their direct bookings Crover House decided to partner with Avvio's top of the range booking engine.
Aidan Cotter, General Manager of Crover House Hotel, told us why they chose Avvio:
"As an independent country house hotel, we partnered with Avvio in 2016 through Great National Hotels. However before we made a decision on which booking engine to move to, we prioritised what we wanted to get from our new partner.”
Crover House’s top priorities were to raise brand awareness and to increase their direct bookings. They also needed to monitor their progress through accurate and intuitive analytics.
“We aren’t experts in SEO [search engine optimisation] ourselves and we needed a way to increase our online presence and attract new business. We found this area a large hole that needed to be filled when it came to our online strategy and creating a brand awareness, starting almost from zero. Avvio provided the solution we needed to take us from where we were to where we are going.
In a short space of time we have seen the fruits of our labour starting to emerge, evident in our room revenue for January this year to almost double versus the previous January.”

Since partnering with Avvio, Crover House Hotel has seen a significant increase in their direct bookings. For the first quarter of 2017, their variance for each month has exceeded 100% and their bookings in January surpassed those of 2016 by an amazing 563%."
