Software Developer

Location: Limerick, Ireland

Overview

Avvio is currently expanding due to continued success and we are now looking to add to our Limerick team.  

Reporting to the Head of Engineering the Software Developer is responsible for the design, development and testing of new and enhanced functionality for the Avvio suite of software products. 

Responsibilities

          • Execute full lifecycle software development.  
          • Write well designed, tested and efficient code.
          • Liaise with the product owner and business stakeholders to clarify requirements.
          • Integrate software components into a fully functional software system.
          • Document and maintain software functionality.
          • Serve as a subject matter expert to peers and other departments.
          • Investigate and resolve escalated issues and defects as assigned.

 

Essential Competencies

          • 2+ years experience in a similar role..
          • Third level computer science/systems related diploma or equivalent.
          • 2-5 years’ experience with PHP
          • Strong web-based programming skills.
          • SQL, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, DOM, AJAX.
          • Experience with XML and Web services would be beneficial.
          • Working knowledge of Linux/Unix and revision management tools.
          • Object-Oriented development.
          • Strong ability to multi-task and work independently.
          • Comfortable working in a dynamic team environment.
          • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

Digital Marketing Account Manager

Location: Limerick, Ireland

Overview

Due to our continued growth Avvio has an opening for a Digital Marketing Account Manager in our Limerick Offices. 

At Avvio we have been helping our partners in the hospitality sector get more bookings for less for over a decade. Our reputation for exceeding revenue targets while lowering the cost of bookings has been hard won and is the heart of our business. We partner with our customers to ensure they secure more direct bookings and reduce their dependency on less profitable online travel agent (OTA) channels

 Responsibilities

          • Manage a portfolio of our key Accounts.
          • Use Analytics and Insights to develop a roadmap of digital marketing activity for your Portfolio.
          • Be responsible for the Budget management on all your activities and maintain all deadlines and associated lead in times.
          • Deliver on Traffic Targets for your Clients.
          • Plan and Execute PPC campaigns to grow traffic and revenue through your portfolio.
          • Plan and Execute SEO campaigns to grow traffic and revenue through your portfolio.
          • Assist clients with content strategies and social media advertising campaigns.
          • Attending Client Meetings and own the Client relationship from a Digital Perspective.
          • Assist the Digital Marketing Team Lead with Strategy and Process Improvements.

 

Essential Competencies

              • Business or marketing degree ideally.
              • Minimum 3 Years Experience in a Digital Marketing Role. Results Driven
              • Strong Experience in SEO strategies and driving SEO success for clients.
              • Proven Results in driving Traffic and Revenue Improvement to your existing Portfolio.
              • Strong communication and presentation skills.

Implementations Specialist

Location: Limerick, Ireland

Overview

To complement and enhance Avvio's unique approach to conversion, we are now recruiting an Implementations Specialist to be on the front lines with our customers, understanding their  goals and pain points, helping them get up and running on the Avvio platform, and guiding them along the way.

 Responsibilities

          • Assist with the management of all implementations (for all services including both new and existing customers).
          • Understanding and logging all requirements of each implementation (both new and add-on services) in conjunction with other departments
          • Ensure that client expectation is appropriately managed in conjunction with the Account Management teams and relevant delivery teams
          • Preparing reports that show the status of each implementation and tracking progress against target implementation dates/period and any other service levels that have been agreed
          • Timely distribution of update reports to all stakeholders
          • Be the first line of resolution of customer queries
          • Escalate any problems or issues that cannot be resolved without input from other teams on a timely basis
          • Ensure all departments have completed their actions relating to each implementation
          • Logging all customer implementation queries
          • Coordinate with Sales, Account Management, Finance, Design and Digital Marketing and Software teams to understand client/deal structure and agree requirements/responsibilities.
          • Initial contact with new clients and send out all documentations
          • Key contributor to continuous process improvement efforts
          • Support in other ad hoc projects as required from time to time

 

Essential Competencies

                • Strong analytical skills - Demonstrated ability to analyse a client request and identify the key requirements of the Avvio process
                • Demonstrated self-starter; takes initiative to proactively prioritize and manage team workload
                • Project management experience
                • Strong attention to detail and organization skills, Capability to multi-task
                • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise fashion, both verbally and in writing
                • Ability to handle high levels of pressure and work to tight deadlines.
                • Competent in the use of MS Office Suite – Excel, PowerPoint and Word especially.
                • Ability to create professional documentation for internal company use and for clients.

Senior Web Designer

Location: Limerick, Ireland

Overview

To complement and enhance Avvio's unique approach to conversion, we are now looking for a talented senior web designer to join our design department and spearhead the creation of exciting and effective websites for our clients.

Reporting directly to the Head of Design you will be responsible for a variety of tasks within the design department. 

 Responsibilities

          • Design, development and maintenance of responsive web sites incorporating innovative solutions and industry best practices.
          • Styling and building of Content Management websites
          • Optimising photography for web.
          • Strong understanding of responsive design. Must be able to create design solutions for mobile, tablet, etc.
          • Knowledge of UX for mobile, tablet and desktop web applications
          • Work independently to achieve team goals and reach target timelines.
          • Where required deal with clients on a one to one basis to work through projects ahead of go live date.
          • Report regularly to the Project Manager and Project Coordinator on the status of active projects.
          • Testing all designs, codes and scripts on multiple browsers and devices.
          • Lend support and assistance where needed to other departments within the company.
          • Solve problems creatively and come up with alternative solutions.

 

Essential Competencies

                • 3rd level qualification in graphic/web related area.
                • 3-5 years experience in a similar role.
                • Strong design portfolio highlighting digital work.
                • Ability to write clean, SEO friendly HTML and CSS. Good working knowledge of web-standards.
                • Experience of digital content loading/publishing; use of a content management system.
                • Excellent IT skills, especially with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop / Dreamweaver / Illustrator / HTML / Web Design/ PHP).
                • Comfortable working in a busy design environment.
                • Ability to create professional documentation for internal company use and for clients.
                • Comfortable working in a busy design environment.
