Job Description

As Avvio’s Senior Marketing Executive, you’ll be part of a dynamic marketing team, reporting to the Head of Marketing. This new role is varied and fast-paced – always adapting to the landscape within the hotel and travel sectors, as well as the business needs. You will be supporting the implementation of Avvio’s exciting marketing strategy and oversee the execution of campaigns to support Avvio’s commercial ambitions for global markets.

The responsibilities as Senior Marketing Executive would involve:

Strategic Competencies

  • Continuous positioning of Avvio’s technology as market-leading – key to winning new target audiences in key markets.
  • Ensuring that every new client becomes an ambassador for Avvio, working with colleagues to leverage all PR opportunities.
  • Preparing and planning the publication of publicity material to maximise brand promotion.
  • Development of relationships with membership/industry bodies and partner companies.
  • Creating marketing campaigns and working with our external PR agency to see campaigns successfully executed.
  • Creating and developing new innovative ways to communicate internally and to our existing customers.
  • Implement an efficient and effective client and prospect communications plan using available CRM tools.
  • Content marketing: supporting the delivery of a content calendar and pushing the thought leadership agenda through regular content publishing.
  • Joint responsibility for Avvio’s product marketing, playing a key role in the content planning and communications process.

Campaign Management

  • Plan, develop and deliver campaigns as agreed within timescales.
  • Work closely with Avvio’s Sales team to manage, monitor and improve inbound leads processes.
  • Inbound and traditional marketing; developing and executive integrated and standalone marketing campaigns.
  • Desk-based research to gather intelligence on marketing events and industry trends.
  • Budget management: ensuring that all campaigns are executed effectively within timeframes and on budget. Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of campaigns to the Head of Marketing.
  • Overseeing social media marketing activities; and owned channels (such as website management/blogs).
  • Oversee SEO, PPC and digital advertising campaigns.

Other

  • Work independently to achieve team goals and reach target timelines, meeting or exceeding individual KPIs and objectives.
  • Deputising for Head of Marketing where required.
  • Contributing to the annual Marketing Plan.
  • Development of relationships with membership/industry bodies and partner companies.
  • Work with internal teams to assess Marketing support needs, and continuously identify improvements to all current processes and practices.
  • Record and monitor accomplishments and ongoing issues, participate in achieving resolutions to identified issues, keeping the Head of Marketing and key stakeholders informed.
  • Solve problems creatively and recommend alternative solutions.
  • Attend calls and meetings with clients, partners and internal staff to discuss marketing related queries as requested.
  • Internal reporting to colleagues on a project-by-project basis.
  • Provide support and assistance where needed to other departments within the company.

Person Specification

CriteriaEssential
 3+ years’ experience in a marketing related role or experience in a similar role.
 Strong campaign management experience.
 Excellent time and project management. √
 Comfortable working in a busy environment. √
 Enthusiastic and structured approach to workloads with good problem solving abilities. √
 Strong interpersonal communication skills. √
 Proficient in English, with excellent verbal & written communication abilities. √
 Excellent organisation and time management skills. √
 Meticulous attention to detail. √
 Demonstrable knowledge of Zoho CRM.
 Working knowledge of reporting/analytics tools.
 Project management knowledge and experience.
 Experience of organising B2B events.
 Desire to learn about new technologies and developments.
 The ability to work as part of a remote team.
 The confidence to share opinions and listen to others.
 Previous experience in a support role to a Head of Department, or in a B2B marketing environment.

Location

This role is London based Avvio’s London office in Hammersmith (with one/two days per week working from home where required). Occasional travel is also required between Avvio’s UK and Ireland offices, attendance at events, supplier and client meetings.
