For the second year running, we’ve been named as a finalist in Hotel and Catering Review’s Gold Medal Awards in the Innovative Supplier category.
Avvio won the award in 2017 and the AI booking engine supplier is hoping to be presented with the accolade once again in 2018’s ceremony.
The Innovative Supplier category celebrates suppliers that are generating added value through new and creative strategic business methods, improving communication with purchasing professionals and refining sourcing decisions.
The Gold Medal Awards are the leading independent awards programme for the Irish hospitality industry and they recognise the highest standards in the industry across the country. The gala event celebrates the significant achievements of hotels, restaurants, guest houses, spa and leisure facilities, caterers as well as individuals and teams.
Our Co-founder and CEO, Frank Reeves, told me “we’re thrilled to have been shortlisted as Ireland’s most innovative supplier for the second year running and we’re looking forward to celebrating on the night alongside other brands and businesses that have achieved remarkable things in the hospitality industry.”
Avvio is currently the booking engine supplier to the highest market share of luxury hotels in the Republic of Ireland, including properties such as Dromoland Castle, Ashford Castle, Killarney Park Hotel and Adare Manor.
The awards showcase Avvio’s prominence in the luxury Irish hospitality market as 25 of this year’s Gold Medal Awards finalists are Avvio customers, spanning a wide range of categories including Ireland’s Five Star Hotel, Ireland’s Five Star Hotel Spa Experience and Ireland’s Best Hotel Website.
Avvio will also be sponsoring the category of Ireland’s City Hotel at this year’s awards. The category recognises outstanding accommodation providers within a short distance to the city centre.
Finalists in the Ireland’s City Hotel category must have demonstrated significantly high standards in relation to levels of service, surroundings, food and transport links. In 2017, this category was won by Montenotte Hotel in Cork.
