Hotel booking and digital marketing expert Avvio has been named Ireland’s most innovative supplier at the Gold Medal Awards 2017.
Run by Hotel & Catering Review, the awards recognise the best independent operators in the Irish hospitality industry, from hotels to restaurants and leisure facilities.
Avvio fended off competition to claim the title which recognises hospitality suppliers that apply new or advanced methods to their business strategies to generate added value and profits.
Finalists were rewarded for introducing creative and experimental ideas, while refining strategic decisions and improving communication.
The event also saw more than a dozen Avvio hotel partners winning various categories including Aghadoe Heights, Absolute Hotel Limerick, Ashford Castle, Kelly’s Resort, Portmarnock Hotel and Limerick Strand all named winners.
The winners were announced at a gala dinner at The Lyrath Estate Hotel, Kilkenny, on 26 September.
