Top recognition for revenue management

Our E-Commerce team is celebrating this week after they achieved a qualification giving them unrivalled expertise on revenue management.

A dozen members of the E-Commerce team are now Certified Revenue Management Executive (CRME) qualified highlighting their knowledge in the field.

The achievement, a Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) certification, means the team is fully qualified to make informed decisions to maximise revenue opportunities and adds to its Google accreditation.

Our Co-founder and CEO, Frank Reeves said: “I’m so proud that our team is CRME qualified. It is a tremendous skillset to have and we are the only provider to have this. Both Avvio and our hotel clients will benefit hugely from the extra knowledge we are able to share.”

Kate O’Flynn, E-Commerce Manager, said it was a great result for Avvio. She said: “We are absolutely thrilled. Though with the hard work the team put in, it was never in question. Our services are at the highest level they’ve ever been. We’re able to better align our efforts with the hotels we work with and can offer more in-depth knowledge of the industry to our clients. Our conversations are no longer limited to the portion of hotel revenue coming through the booking engine, we can now confidently consult on all business areas.”

The team underwent six months of intense training and will get a refresher every three years.

Daragh Murphy, E-Commerce Manager, said it would give the team a “competitive advantage” and meant they now understood many more issues that hoteliers experience. Before the course, I don’t think we fully understood the challenges that hotels faced and I feel that they didn’t want to share these challenges with us because we might not understand. I’m hoping this qualification will help us to showcase knowledge of the industry and hopefully work closer with General Managers and Revenue Managers in the various hotels we partner with. I also believe it will give us a competitive advantage over our rival marketing agencies.”

Una Murphy, E-Commerce Manager, said the recognition was “well worth the effort” and would benefit both the team and clients. “It is certainly something that will allow us to be experts in our area in communications with clients and will use on a regular basis. It is something I would recommend professionals in the hotel industry to consider doing. The work and time involved are well worth the effort.”

President and CEO of HSMAI Region Europe, Ingunn Hofseth said, “We are delighted to continue our partnership with Avvio. This global certification is a great recognition of the determination by Avvio to understand revenue management and to support hoteliers with advice and guidance.”

Avvio’s E-Commerce team uses its unrivaled expertise to help hotels and other accommodation providers to achieve revenue and profit growth. Other insights and measurements include the performance and consumer behaviour of visitors to hotel websites, plus the booking process. The team also monitors hotel websites and review traffic, conversion rate, booking engine conversion rate, availability and rate effectiveness.

Clients have one point of contact but the whole team working on their account, with up-to-date strategy and a clear and measurable path to follow. Find out how the team can benefit your hotel or property – email hello@avvio.com or learn about our services.
